Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry at the Federal University of Alfenas - UNIFAL-MG, Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNIFAL-MG, PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology, Area of #8203;#8203;Biochemistry at the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP-SP and Post-Doctorate in Biochemistry and Trypanosomatid Molecular Biology by UNICAMP-SP. In the master's degree he developed a project related to the diagnosis of American Tegumentary Leishmaniasis using molecular biology techniques and in his doctorate researched the mitochondrial bioenergetics of Trypanosoma cruzi and its correlation with the overexpression of cytosolic and mitochondrial triparedoxins under oxidative stress. In the postdoctoral researched the interactome of mitochondrial triparedoxin peroxidase and Trypanosoma cruzi triparedoxin II.
