He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1994), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1995) and a PhD in Digital Instrumentation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (1999). He is currently a Full Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Digital Systems, mainly in the following subjects: Instrumentation, Electromagnetic Measurements, Engineering Programming, Data Acquisition, Image Processing , Biomechanics, CAD / CAM / CAE.
