Aristeu Vieira da Silva holds a PhD in Tropical Diseases from the School of Medicine at UNESP/Botucatu (2003). He is a Full Professor at the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS/BA) and is the coordinator of the Research Group on Zoonoses and One Health. He has published over a hundred articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and over 350 papers in conference proceedings. He has supervised Master's and Doctoral dissertations, Scientific Initiation, Technological Initiation and Extension projects, Specializations and Undergraduate Course Conclusion Projects in the areas of Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy and Biological Sciences. He has received four awards or honors. He participates in research projects at UEFS, UEL and UFBA. He is a member of the Brazilian College of Veterinary Parasitology, the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology, the Association of Field Epidemiology Professionals (ProEPI), the International Society of Geospatial Health (GnosisGIS) and the Brazilian Research Network on Toxoplasmosis (Rede TOXO). He works in the area of #8203;#8203;Epidemiology, with emphasis on Zoonoses, Public Health and One Health. He has been coordinator of research and extension projects sponsored by FAPESB, CNPq and CAPES. The most frequent terms in the contextualization of scientific production are toxoplasmosis, epidemiology and zoonoses. He is a Fire Brigade Member at UEFS. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
