Graduated in Civil Engineering Chemistry - Universidad Técnica del Estado (1976), master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1996) and PhD in Materials Science and Technology from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2007) . He works in engineering, quality, production and research and development projects. He has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis on Polymers and Colloids, working mainly on the following topics: lead-acid battery, recycling, electro-hydro metallurgy, alkaline fusion and electroplating.
