Graduated (1997) and acquired a MSc degree (2000) at Universidade Federal de São Carlos and the PhD at Universidade de São Paulo (2004), always in Physics. Also has experience in Applied Mathematics, originally focusing on the modeling of mutational degeneration processes and molecular evolution but know mostly studying the relationships between statistical physics and theoretical neuroscience.
