Elaine Matsubara is a Professor in Faculty of Dentistry (Biomaterials and Oral Biology Department) at University of São Paulo. She also holds PhD (2010) in carbon nanomaterials for energy storage devices (batteries and supercapacitors) at University of São Paulo (USP), carrying out part of her studies at Instituto de Ciencias de Los Materiales in Madrid (Spain), ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Energy Technologies and Sustainable Economic Development), and at University of Rome - La Sapienza (Italy). Matsubaras research interests focus on synthesis, characterization and production of: (i) carbon nanomaterials and their technological applications; (ii) biomaterials for 3D printing (cranio-maxillofacial reconstruction, bone grafts, implants and prostheses); and (ii) materials for storage/conversion energy devices.
