Have a degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Maria Thereza (1986), a specialization in Environmental Planning from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (1987), a Master's degree in Psychology (Experimental Psychology, Animal Behavior area) from the University of São Paulo (1994) and a PhD in Psychology (Psychology Experimental, Animal Behavior area) from the University of São Paulo (1998). During her master's and doctoral studies, she carried out research in the area of #8203;#8203;social and reproductive behavior of callitrichid primates from the Atlantic Forest. She was a recent PhD fellow at the Department of Ecology and Zoology - Federal University of Santa Catarina (1999-2001), where she coordinated and developed field research on the behavior and feeding ecology of Callithrix penicillata introduced on the Island of Santa Catarina. In 2009, she worked as a collaborator at the Carijós Institute in Environmental Education activities for children and educators. Since 2007, he has published scientific dissemination books for children, with two titles selected by the MEC for the National School Library Program (PNBE). Between 2009 and 2014, she was a collaborating researcher at the Brain Education Laboratory/UFSC, participating in the creation and preparation of content for the production of electronic games and interactive digital books focused on education and aimed at children and adolescents. Among the educational technologies, the game "Mata Atlântica: o Bioma onde eu moro", launched in 2012, stands out, innovative for introducing multimouse technology in Brazil and the interactive electronic book "Knowing nature, I prevent disasters" (2013) which serves the National Program for the Reduction of Natural Disaster Risks (CEPED/UFSC). Between 2001 and 2017, he supervised undergraduate thesis, in the area of #8203;#8203;primatology, for students of the Biological Sciences Course - UFSC who are interested in developing research with primates. Currently, she participates as a collaborating researcher in the research group on Literature and Design of Artifacts for Children and Young People in the Digital World at the Department of Graphic Expression / UFSC in the production of a locative digital book for children.
