Paula Leonardi has a degree in Pedagogy from UNESP - Rio Claro; a master's degree in Education from the Faculty of Education - UNICAMP (FAPESP scholarship); a PhD in Education in the area of History of Education and Historiography from the Faculty of Education - USP (2008), with an internship abroad at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (CAPES scholarship); a post-doctorate in History of Education and Historiography from the Faculty of Education - USP (2011), with a FAPESP scholarship. She is a professor at the Faculty of Education of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), in the Postgraduate Program in Education (Proped/UERJ), coordinator of GEHER (Study Group on the History of Education and Religion, Edu, UERJ) and a researcher in the Focus group (Research Group on Education, Institutions and Inequality, FE, Unicamp). She was a visiting professor at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne between December 2019 and May 2020, with Capes Print funding. She is a pro-scientist and coordinator of the Universal Project. She is the editor of Revista Teias and a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Caedu and Pensar a Educação em Revista. She has teaching experience in the field of Education, with an emphasis on the History of Education, concentrating her teaching and research work around the following axes: education and culture, memory, religion and education.
