Jose Fortunato Fernandes

Post-doctorate in Music Education with research in the area of music in prisons at Boston University under the supervision of Professor André de Quadros. PhD in Music with specialization in Theoretical Foundations and research line in Music Education by Music Department at the Institute of Arts at State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2012) under the supervision of PhD Aci Taveira Meyer and co-supervision of PhD José Roberto Zan. Master of Arts with specialization in Musicology by Music Department at the School of Communications and Arts at University of São Paulo - USP (2003) under the supervision of PhD Régis Duprat. Graduated in Music major in Piano by Villa-Lobos Institute at Center for Arts and Letters at University of Rio de Janeiro - UNIRIO (1994) under the supervision of Master Salomea Gandelman and Master Estela Caldi. Graduated in Sacred Music major in Piano at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary of Brazil (1990) under the supervision of Master Tamara Ujakova. Author of "Education of adolescents in conflict with the law: sociocultural factors" (2015) and "Music education of adolescents who are serving a socio-educacional sentence through choral singing" (2016).
