He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from ICMC-USP and did a post-doctoral internship at the Department of Computing and Mathematics at USP, Ribeirão Preto. He is a professor at the Institute of Informatics at the Federal University of Goiás (INF-UFG) since 2010, working in subjects of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems courses. His research interests include Software Engineering, Requirements Engineering, the Internet of Things, Ontologies, and Health Informatics. In 2020, he conducted a research mission at the Software Engineering Research Laboratory (LAPES) at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), in particular, on the joint use of requirements standards and software test standards.
