Karin Quast

holds a PhD in Education from UNICAMP (2009), a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Taubaté/UNITAU (2003), a Specialization degree in English Language Teaching from the University of Taubaté/UNITAU (2001), and a Bachelor's degree in Languages from the University of Vale do Paraíba (1980). She is currently a professor in the Master's Program in Applied Linguistics at the University of Taubaté (UNITAU). She has experience in the field of Languages, with an emphasis on Modern Foreign Languages, focusing primarily on the following topics: foreign language teaching/learning from a historical-cultural and enunciative-discursive perspective of language; English phonology; teaching/learning theories and foreign/aditional language teaching approaches and methods; egocentric language/private speech or inner discourse; active methodologies; narratives, games, and gamification in language teaching; game literacy.
