Conducted postdoctoral research [FAPESP] in Ethnobotanica, in July 1995 with RE Schultes (Harvard, Ethnobotany / Herbaria) [Fapesp / see 1996, Economic Botany) and in Ecological Economics, 2010 [CNPq] with P. May (CPDA, UFRRJ) [see 2011, Ecological Economics], having been Executive Director of the Fisheries and Food Institute (www.fisheriesandfood.org) from 2006 to 2014 and President of SOCIETY FOR HUMAN ECOLOGY, USA, in 2006-2007. Co-founder of FIFO in 2006 (Fisheries and Food Institute) and Capesca(2006, Preac/UNICAMP). She published 126 articles in specialized journals, 22 studies in annals of events, 30 book chapters and 10 books. She participated in about 80 events, most of them abroad, having been "Keynote Speaker" in in 2009, at Mare-Univ Amsterdam, and at the University of Greenwich, London, in 2011. She supervised 50 students (master's, doctorate, initiation and others). She coordinated 25 research projects. She conducts research in the area of Ecology, with an emphasis on Human Ecology, Fisheries and Fishermen's Ecology. In his Lattes curriculum, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are: Human Ecology, Fishing, Ecology, Diet, Ethnobotany, Diet, Ethnoichthyology, Food Taboos, Foraging and Folk Medicine. She participates in the Editorial Committee of Ambio and Journal of Ethnobiology and Ethnomedicime, among others. The book Current Trends in Human Ecology (Lopes and Begossi, Eds, Cambridge Scholars Publishing) was awarded in 2011 with the Book Award "Gerald Young", SHE). In his scholar google profile there are 8925 citations, index h = 53, index i10 = 129; in Scopus, 3042 citations, Hindex = 32, https://publons.com/researcher/1319535/alpina-bego, 2505 Hindex citations = 30 [02/22/2021). - Currently, Researcher at Capesca/ NEPA / UNICAMP, Professor at PG of Unisanta, Executive Director of the Fisheries and Food Institute (FIFO, www.fisheriesandfood.com).
