Karen Sumire Kubo

Karen is graduated in Forest Engeneering at Universidade Federal do Paraná (2002), has a Master's Degree in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from Universidade de São Paulo (2006) and a PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2011). Currently, she is the Undergraduate Biotechnology Department Chair at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná and professor in courses related to Plant Biotechnology at the same university. She has experience in virus characterization, functional and molecular biology, phytopathology and phytovirology and is interested in science divulgation and popularization.
