GUILLERMO RUPERTO MARTÍN CORTÉS. Specializing in cutting/engraving engineering materials and dimension stones by ultra-high pressure abrasive waterjet at OMAX Co. Seattle, USA. Surface quality assessment at the University of Cagliari, Italy. Extensive bibliographic production published in international and national events and specialized journals. Participates in International and National Scientific Events. It has patents in nanotechnology with the product NAOB® Nanocomposite Organophilic Clay / Rubber, with its compounds. Guide and oversees Graduation and Scientific Initiation Works. Since 2007 research in nanotechnology and use of industrial waste for recycling and environmental protection. Evaluator of Higher Education Institutions and Undergraduate Courses since 2006, appointed by the Minister of State for Education and published in the DOU on 10/30/2006. From 1976 to 1995 directly worked in Geological Prospecting of non-metallic and metallic deposits in the Republic of Cuba. Also carried out works on Technological Characterization of Metallic and Non-Metallic Minerals, with emphasis on clays, feldspars, carbonates, phosphates, sand, gravel and ornamental rocks for the purposes of: fine and refractory ceramics, drilling muds, construction, cement, glass, soils for agriculture, and others. Also worked in development of the Geologist - Mining Supervision of nickel, copper and gold mining; and of the Cement, Fine Ceramics and Refractory Industries and those of Construction Materials. At Unión GEOMINERA, he was a Specialist in Non-Metallic Minerals, Head of Dept. Standardization, Metrology and Quality. He represented the Republic of Cuba as Head of the Geology Group of the Ceramics Subcommittee within the Intergovernmental Commission Cuba - Democratic Republic of Germany for the development of the Isle of Youth and Las Tunas Ceramic Poles. 1990 - 1995 he was Secretary and later Vice-President of the Geological Technical Council of the Ministry of Basic Industry of Cuba. From 1990 to 1992 it has participated as a Specialist in the National Commission for the Updating of Study Programs in Geological Engineering and Mining Engineering.
