Felipe Perecin holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine (2002) and a PhD in Veterinary Medicine, area of Animal Reproduction (2007) from the São Paulo State University (UNESP); postdoctoral degree from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2008), MBA in Project Management (2012), and the title of Associate Professor in the area of Developmental Biology and Reproductive Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2016). Currently, he holds the position of Full Professor at FZEA-USP (since June 2024). He served as Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee (August 2021-August 2025) and was coordinator of the graduate program in Animal Bioscience (March 2017-March 2021). _____ He is the current Scientific Director of the Brazilian Society of Embryo Technology (SBTE) for the 2025-2026 biennium, a position he also held in the 2016-2017 biennium. Dr. Perecin also served the International Embryo Technology Society (IETS) as Program Chairperson for the IETS 2023 Annual Meeting. He has experience in the field of Animal Reproduction, with an emphasis on reproductive biology and biotechnology, working mainly on the following topics: oocyte competence, oocyte maturation, folliculogenesis, cumulus-oocyte interactions, in vitro embryo production, oocyte and embryo metabolism, epigenetics, early embryo development, paternal contributions to embryo development, and nuclear transfer.
