Graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and PhD in Immunology from ICB-USP. In 2000, she brought to Brazil, together with Prof. José Alexandre M. Barbuto, dendritic cell-based cancer immunotherapy. Since then, she has been responsible for managing/conducting clinical trials involving this immunotherapeutic approach. Over these two decades, this approach has brought benefits to many cancer patients, more recently, to those with glioblastoma. She holds patents and is the author/co-author of book chapters and important scientific articles in the areas of Immunology and Cancer immunotherapy. In 2023 she was elected as a full member of one the oldest and most prestigious scientific research societies, Sigma Xi, in honor of excellence of her scientific career. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
