This project deals with classical questions of Algebraic Topology related to Bordism Theory and its applications, as well as Nielsen fixed point theory, coincidence and roots and its connections with other topics within Algebraic Topology (especially Braid Groups and others)
We intend to study braids groups of surfaces. In particular we intend to study a recent generalization of the Fadell-Neuwirth short exact sequence for pure braids groups. (AU)
The project deals with the classification up to Nielsen Equivalence of arbitrary generating sets of Fuchsian groups and its connections within the topology of 3 dimensional manifolds. (AU)
