Graduated in Chemistry, Master in Chemistry from the Federal University of Sergipe - UFS (with a concentration in Organic Chemistry), and Ph.D. in Sciences (with a concentration in Organic Chemistry/Natural Products Chemistry) from the Federal University of São Carlos - UFSCar. He completed a Postdoctoral internship in the Department of Chemistry at UFSCar in the field of Organic Chemistry/Natural Products/Chemical Ecology, working on the quantitative determination of potential phytoalexins from plant-associated bacteria using MDGC/GCMS triple quadrupole, as well as evaluating their antimicrobial activity against the phytopathogen Xanthomonas citri subsp. citri. He is a specialist in Phytotherapy, Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenetics in Clinical Practice, Complementary Integrative Practices, and Environmental Expertise and Auditing. He worked as a tutor for one academic year at UFS and taught in basic education for one academic year. He was the coordinator of the PADI Program (Support Program for Incoming Students) between 2016-2017 and the Coordinator of the Chemistry Licentiate Course at UFT in 2017.He has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on organic chemistry, natural products chemistry, chemical ecology, and analytical chemistry, working on the following topics: plant-bacteria interaction, plant-insect interaction, isolation, identification, and derivatization of secondary metabolites from plants and phytopathogenic bacteria, cultivation of phytopathogenic microorganisms, diagnosis of phytopathologies using spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques, essential oils, essential oil extraction methods, encapsulation of essential oils and their compounds in cyclodextrins, antimicrobial activity of essential oils, insecticidal activities of essential oils and plant extracts against Spodoptera frugiperda, mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/MS, API-MS), GC-MS, LC-MS, gas chromatography (GC-FID), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).He was a Research Productivity Fellow in the New Researchers Program at UFT in 2016/2017 and a UFNT Research Productivity Fellow from 2021 to 2024. Currently, he is an Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Northern Tocantins (UFNT), teaching since 2015, and lectures on General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Natural Products Chemistry. He is part of the permanent faculty of the Graduate Program in Chemistry at UNIFESSPA (PPGQ/UNIFESSPA).He is an ad hoc reviewer for the Tocantins Research Support Foundation (FAPT) and the leader of the research group titled "Natural Products: Plant-Microorganism Interaction and the Search for Potential Drugs to Combat Disease-Causing Agents in Humans, Animals, and Plants." He co-authored the development of the computer software Linear Retention Index (LRI). He has supervised and is supervising master's students, undergraduate research projects, and graduate students, as well as overseeing a postdoctoral researcher from 2024-2025.He has an h-index of 14 on Google Scholar, 12 on Scopus, and 12 on Web of Science. He has published numerous scientific articles and papers in international and national journals, as well as book chapters. He is the author of the physical and digital book "How I Controlled My Dogs Cancer Using Medicinal Plants." He is a reviewer for several international and national scientific journals and has been a full member of Sigma Xi (The Scientific Research Honor Society) since 2023.Currently, his scientific research focuses on the following areas: Metabolomics of medicinal plants, nanoencapsulation of essential oils and their compounds, evaluation of the antimicrobial and anticancer activity of natural productsrecently focusing on lymphoma in dogsand plant-phytopathogen interaction. Recently, he has ventured into the field of technological innovation for the development of new natural products and/or processes related to pharmaceuticals and health, with an initial focus on lymphoma in (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
