Researcher at the Research Department of Casa de Oswaldo Cruz / Fiocruz and faculty member of the Graduate Program in the History of Science and Health (PPGHCS) at the same institution. He holds a Bachelor degree in History from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ, 2008) and in Biological Sciences Microbiology and Immunology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 2003). He obtained both a Masters and a Ph.D. in the History of Science and Health from Casa de Oswaldo Cruz / Fiocruz and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of History at the School of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (USP).His research focuses on the field of History, with an emphasis on the history of science, medicine, public health, and environmental history. His main areas of interest include the trajectories of scientific institutions and actors, the history of life sciences in the 20th century, transnational scientific relations and knowledge circulation, BrazilGermany and BrazilU.S. intellectual exchanges, science diplomacy, the history of tropical medicine and agricultural research, knowledge and science related to climate change and the Anthropocene, the history of ecology, and the history of the Amazon.
