Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Física (IF)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the State University of Maringá (2006), a Master's degree (2008) and a Ph.D. (2012) in Physics from the University of São Paulo. He completed his postdoctoral research at the University of São Paulo (20122015) and at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2014). He is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), based at the Jandaia do Sul Advanced Campus, where he served as Vice-Director (20172020) and Director (20202024). Currently, he is the Director of Institutional Relations and Training at the State Secretariat for Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (SEIA).He has significant experience in academic and scientific management. He was responsible for the creation of undergraduate programs such as the Bachelor's in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, and Computational Physics. He led high-impact projects, including the development of the project and public calls for the construction of UFPRs permanent campus in Jandaia do Sul. During his tenure, he implemented programs such as "Embarcando na Ciência" ("All Aboard for Science"), which connects universities and schools, and coordinated initiatives for science popularization and innovation. As a researcher, he has solid experience in Computational and Condensed Matter Physics, working mainly on simulations of carbon-based nanomaterials, electronic transport properties of van der Waals heterostructures, and novel two-dimensional materials. His expertise includes first-principles methods, non-equilibrium Greens functions, and advanced simulations applied to 2D materials. In addition to these techniques, he currently employs machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to predict material properties, contributing to advancements in multifunctional devices, sustainable technologies, and energy. His work combines human resource training, technological innovation, and knowledge transfer to society, standing out for his ability to integrate science, education, and strategic management in a multidisciplinary environment.ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4299-2808Researcher ID: H-5207-2012 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
