Eder Henrique da Silva

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry (2012) and a Pedagogical Qualification for Teaching Licensure in Chemistry (2014), both from the University of Franca (Universidade de Franca). During his undergraduate studies, he was a Scientific Initiation fellow (PIBIC), conducting research in the field of Natural Products Chemistry, with emphasis on the isolation, purification, structural elucidation by NMR, and structural modification of diterpenes belonging to the kaurane class. In the final year of his degree, he was an IC-FAPESP fellow, developing a research project in Computational Chemistry, addressing topics such as electronic structure, supramolecular chemistry, and properties of interest in materials chemistry.He earned a Masters degree in Sciences (Physical Chemistry) from the University of Franca (CAPES rating: 5), as a FAPESP fellow under full-time dedication, supervised by Prof. Dr. Renato Luis Tame Parreira. His dissertation focused on the use of theoretical models to study structural effects, intermolecular forces, electronic properties, and the nature of chemical bonding in molecules and complexes formed by oxocarbons, pseudo-oxocarbons, and squaraines.He obtained a Ph.D. in Sciences (Physical Chemistry) from the same institution (CAPES rating: 5), with research dedicated to the application of molecular electronic structure methods (QTAIM, NCI, MPE, and EDA) to investigate the main factors influencing the strength, specificity, and physical nature of non-covalent interactions in hostguest systems. The study focused on hybrid macrocyclic receptors and their interactions with chloride anions, aiming at applications in anion recognition.From 2021 to 2024, he served as vice-principal in the public school system of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He currently works as a Chemistry teacher in the same network, teaching at the Nazle Jabur and Deus, Universo e Virtude state schools in the municipality of Passos, MG. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
