Abstract
Clinical follow-up of patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) includes periodic dosage of serum thyroglobulin (Tg) and neck ultrasound. Patients submitted to partial thyroidectomies or not treated with I131 may have persistent Tg despite no tumor recurrence.
