Researches galaxy formation and evolution, focusing on galaxy morphology. In particular, he utilizes applications of artificial intelligence combining large cosmological simulations and observations to study the temporal evolution of galaxies. He also works on investigating the morphology of distant galaxies with the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. He is a member of the PEARLS collaboration (Prime Extragalactic Areas for Reionization and Lensing Science) and the UNIONS survey (The Ultraviolet Near Infrared Optical Northern Survey). Currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Victoria. PhD in Astronomy from the University of Nottingham. Master's in Physics with an Emphasis in Astrophysics from FURG. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2014) from FURG. He is interested in Galaxy Formation and Evolution and Cosmology, mainly in using state-of-the-art Machine Learning techniques to assist in the processing and analysis of large amounts of photometric galaxy data.
