I am a geographer, and I hold both a Masters and a PhD in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo (FFLCH/USP), as well as an MBA in Project Management from ESALQ/USP. I am currently undertaking a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Public Policy and International Relations of São Paulo State University (IPPRI/UNESP), with funding from FAPESP.I have extensive experience in the socio-environmental field, conducting research and consultancy on Indigenous territories, territorial autonomies, and socio-environmental conflicts in Latin America. I carried out research fellowships in the United Kingdom (2022, Queen Mary University of London QMUL), Mexico (2021 and 2013, CIALC/Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), and Argentina (2010, Universidad Nacional de La Plata), as well as fieldwork in Indigenous territories in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Guatemala.I am the author of Geografia da Autonomia: a experiência de autonomia territorial zapatista em Chiapas, México (Editora Elefante, 2025) and a member of the research groups Rede DATALUTA (Brazil), Movimientos socioterritoriales en perspectiva crítica y comparada (CLACSO), and Pueblos indígenas, autonomías y derechos colectivos (CLACSO), where I also serve as co-editor of the bulletin Autonomías Hoy: pueblos indígenas en América Latina.Email: fabiogeo@alumni.usp.br (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
