Dr Régis Augustus Bars Closel is a Associtate Professor at UFSM . He concluded his post-doctoral fellow at USP, supported by FAPESP. Closel has received several grants and scholarships for his research and translation of Sir Thomas More, including a one-year period (2013-2014) scholarship as a visiting researcher at the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, all of them provided by Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) as part of his PhD qualification at UNICAMP, Brazil. At the Shakespeare Institute, his research plan was supervised by the play specialist and editor, Professor John Jowett. As a result of his research there, Closel provided an editorial solution to a long-standing crux in the plays corpus published in Notes Queries (2014). He published several articles and book chapters and gave many papers about 'Sir Thomas More', Shakespeare and Early Modern England and in the United Kingdom, North America, Japan, Brazil and Europe. Also, Régis coedited two books, on Mores Utopia (Onze Vezes Utopia, 2011) and on Brazilian Shakespearean Studies (Shakespeare 450 Anos, 2014). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
