Fernando G. Nicodemos is graduated in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Telecommunications at FEI - Centro Universitário da FEI (2002). Received the M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, area Electronic Systems and Components (2007) and the Ph.D. degree in Aeronautics and Mechanical Engineering, area Aerospace Systems and Mechatronics (2013), both from the ITA - Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica. Since 2000, he has improved the scientific research skills by getting involved in several cooperation projects from ITA with the industry. In 2006, created the NCB - Sistemas Embarcados Ltda., a technology-based company, where he is the head of the research and development department until now. His main research interests are in the area of embedded systems for critical applications (hardware and software), verification and validation of critical systems, high performance embedded computing, Real-Time Operating Systems in open-source emphasis and design using progammable logic devices and hardware description languages.
