She holds a degree in Medicine from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1998), a Ph.D. in Pathophysiology in Clinical Medicine [Botucatu] from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2008), and a Habilitation in Pulmonology from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2018). She is currently an Associate Professor at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho. She served as President of the São Paulo Society of Pulmonology and Phthisiology (20222023). She is the Coordinator of the Commission on Epidemiology and Clinical Research of the Brazilian Society of Pulmonology and Phthisiology, responsible for developing national respiratory content guidelines.Since 2010, she has been a faculty member of the MECOR course (Methods in Epidemiologic, Clinical, and Operations Research) and a directive member of the MECOR committee of the American Thoracic Society and the Asociación Latinoamericana del Tórax. She is currently the Lead Faculty for Level 2, focusing on creating operational procedure manuals and statistical analysis plans. She is an Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Pulmonology in the fields of Epidemiology and COPD, the Brazilian Medical Journal in the area of Pulmonology, and Frontiers in MedicineRespiratory Diseases. She also serves as a "Guest Editor" for the journals Frontiers in Case Reports in Respiratory Diseases and Women in Science: Pulmonary Medicine 2023/2024.Since 2008, she has participated in Multicenter Studies on Respiratory Diseases. She is a member of the 4CE Consortium for Clinical Characterization of COVID-19 by EHR, led by researchers from Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. She is the Founder and Coordinator of the INSPIRE-Respiratory Health Program, a model for managing, educating, preventing, innovating, and providing early screening for respiratory diseases in public health services. She has extensive experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Pulmonology, focusing primarily on the following topics: pulmonary diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, smoking, lung cancer, and COVID-19 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
