Thiago holds a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Alfenas (2008/2011), a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (2012/2017), and a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology from Lund University (2017-2019), as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in infectious diseases from Lund University (2022-2023). Possess experience in the areas of molecular biology and immunology, particularly in the study of virulence factors as vaccine candidates, as well as immunological investigation in animal models (mice) and in vitro resulting from the administration of these virulence factors. Also have experience in constructing mutant bacteria and biofilm formation. Currently, I am involved in projects in the field of microbiology, investigating biofilm formation by different bacterial genera and studying vaccine candidates against multi-drug-resistant bacteria.
