Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Brazilian evolutionary biologist and ecologist with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a master's degree in Sciences, specializing in Systematics, Animal Taxonomy, and Biodiversity. Currently, I am completing my Ph.D. in Biology at McGill University and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, focusing on Neotropical Environments. As a Ph.D. candidate, my research interests center on Unraveling the intricate interactions between ecological and evolutionary processes. Specifically, I investigate how environmental factors shape genomic and phenotypic variation in Neotropical butterflies. Throughout my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to develop essential skills in genomics, bioinformatics, programming and machine learning, which I look forward to applying in various fields of life sciences.
