André Riyuiti Hirakawa has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1990 and 1992) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Yokohama, Japan (1997). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo since 1998 and currently coordinates the SMART-Lab Laboratory. His area of expertise (teaching, research and development projects) includes: Architecture of Processors, Computer Systems, Automation, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) applied in Industrial Processes, Electric Power System, Agribusiness, Environment and Intelligent Cities.
