Amalia Regina Mar Barbieri

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Santa Maria (2003). Completed a Master's and Doctorate at the Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine at the University of São Paulo in the area of Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses, researching Spotted Fever in Blumenau and the ecology of ticks and rickettsiae in the Grande Sertão Veredas National Park, respectively. Completed the Post-Doctorate at the same institution described above, following the line of research of ticks and Rickettsias.Experience in the area of Preventive Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Parasitic Diseases and Public Health. She has experience in collecting material in the field and processing samples in the laboratory using molecular and serological techniques, cell and bacterial culture and cloning.
