Layane began her academic journey at the University of São Paulo (USP) Institute of Chemistry in 2011, where she pursued both a Bachelor's and a Teaching Degree in Chemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she was a FAPESP scholarship recipient for three years, developing scientific initiation projects and presenting her findings at national and international scientific conferences.With a solid academic foundation, she launched her professional career as a teacher at Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro, honing her communication and teaching skills. Subsequently, she entered the pharmaceutical industry, working at LIBBS as an intern and later being promoted to a permanent position in the Research and Development of New Products division.Currently, Layane is a Scientific Researcher at the Eurofarma Innovation Center Eurolab, located within the Industrial Complex in Itapevi (SP). Her work focuses on projects involving radical innovation, biotechnology, biosimilars, and the development of new technological platforms.In parallel with her industry career, Layane embarked on a Ph.D. program at the Chemical Engineering Department of USPs Polytechnic School. Her research centered on gene therapy, including the development of devices for delivering genetic material using gold nanoparticles and vaccine formulations in collaboration with USP's Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
