He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho in Botucatu (1984), a master's degree in Biological Sciences - Anatomy (1989), and a doctorate in Biological Sciences (Anatomy) from the same university, also in Botucatu (1994). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at FCT/UNESP, in Presidente Prudente, with 34 years of experience in the field of Morphology, having taught Human Anatomy and related subjects to first-year Physical Therapy students, as well as Palpatory Anatomy (an elective subject) to second-, third-, and fourth-year Physical Education students (day and night). He works in the following lines of research: Anatomical Techniques, History, Teaching and Learning of Macroscopic Anatomy in Physiotherapy and Physical Education courses, working administratively on the Research Ethics Committee, Departmental Council, and management of the Anatomy Laboratory at FCT/UNESP, Presidente Prudente Campus.
