Reinaldo Ferreira Sima

Reinaldo Sima is a professional with over 30 years of experience, dedicated to using technology to optimise business results and improve people's lives. He is currently the Director of Technology, Digital Transformation and Innovation at MRV Engineering, a leader in the engineering and construction sector. Under his leadership, the company has 30 squads and over 250 employees structured in an Agile model, promoting a comprehensive digital transformation.Over the past 15 years, Reinaldo has been responsible for implementing structural projects such as SAP, CRM, MRV Works, and BPM, which have established the fundamental basis for MRV's digital transformation process. His work has been crucial in the complete digitalisation of the customer experience, generating significant value for the business.He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1992) and a master's degree in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997). He has experience in the field of Production Engineering, with an emphasis on Planning, Design and Control of Production Systems, primarily working on the following topics: computer-integrated manufacturing, business process engineering, industrial automation, CIM and ERP. In addition, he is a counsellor for Órbi, an innovation hub that promotes the connection between startups and the corporate world, and for Ucondo, a startup focused on condominium management. One of the most important aspects of his career is the application of artificial intelligence to generate value for the business. Reinaldo has been using statistical models, AI and Generative AI to conduct predictive analyses, consolidating transactional and historical data in real-time (Big Data), monitoring key business indicators and addressing major internal and external questions.
