Schettini holds a degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (2003) and a PhD in Economics from the University of São Paulo in 2010, with additional studies at the University of Cambridge (UK). She has been a professor at the Institute of International Relations IRI-USP since 2011 and is a associate professor in International Economics at the same university (2024). She has experience in the field of Economics, with an emphasis on Regional Economics, Spatial Economics, and Regional Trade. Recently, she has also been researching in the area of Feminist Economics.
