Graduated in Medical School at Federal University of Mato Grosso (1998), has a Master's degree (2006) and a PhD (2009) in Child and Adolescent Health at University of Sao Paulo, and a post-doctoral degree at Children's Hospital Boston, Harvard University (2011). For 20 years I worked in the field of pediatric intensive care medicine. Currently an Associate Professor at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, USP, at the Department of Pediatrics. Since 2008, have worked at Farmácia da Natureza, which is a Living Pharmacy of the SUS, has more than 400 medicinal species in its garden, and produces more than 200 types of herbal medicines, including tinctures, capsules, fluid extracts, creams, ointments and others, which are dispensed free of charge. Coordinates the Phytotherapeutic Outpatient Clinic at Farmácia da Natureza, which offers free medical consultations and herbal medicine prescriptions. Coordinates disciplines in the area of phytotherapy for the Medicine course at FMRP-USP and coordinates the USP Phytotherapy program, which has been offering training in the area for health professionals since 2013. Conducts pre-clinical and clinical research in the areas of medicinal plants, herbal medicines, nutrition of children and adolescents, with funding from CNPq and FAPESP, involving scientific initiation, master's and doctorate students.
