Dr. Aglecia is a Lecturer and Programme Director at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the lead researcher at the Skin Wounds and Trauma (SWaT) Centre working primarily with wound care and other healthcare-related research. She is the programme director for the postgraduate programmes in Wound Care and Tissue Viability and Occupational Health. During her nursing academic training, she worked with stoma care and pressure ulcers in community and intensive care settings. Currently, Aglecia has an active teaching role in wound care, medical nursing, occupational health and nursing leadership as well as a supervisor of MSc and PhD students from different healthcare backgrounds.
