Undergraduation in Biology at Universidade de São Paulo (ESALQ-USP), with one-year period at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Masters and Ph.D. in Botany at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), with six-months period working at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew during the Ph.D. Experience in Plant Systematics, with focus on Taxonomy of neotropical groups, especially Connaraceae. Also publishing taxonomic works in Leguminosae and Lamiales, in addition to work as taxonomist generalist. Currently lecturing at the Department of Biodiversity and Biostatistics at Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp-Botucatu) and developing a post-doctoral research at ESALQ-USP, working with taxonomy, phylogeny, floral ontogeny, floristics and DNA barcoding.
