Birthplace: Brazil

I graduated in Physics in 2006 at Federal University of Santa Maria, and completed the MSc at National Institute for Spaces Research (INPE) in 2008 were I studied atmospheric tides. I gotten my Ph.D in Space Geophysics with emphasis on Atmospheric Physics at INPE with the study about gravity wave momentum fluxes and variances in the MLT region. I spent six-month of my Ph.D. in NorthWest Research Associates in Boulder-CO, EUA, working with Dr David C. Fritt. During that period, I developed the MODIFIED COMPOSITE DAY method to apply the Hockings 2005 Technic to SkiyMET meteor radar for inferring variances and momentum fluxes due to gravity waves in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere (MLT) region. From 2012 to 2015 I study the atmospheric gravity waves using three different instrumentation: Na temperature LIDAR, Meteor Radar and All-Sky airglow Imagers. I have also investigated the dynamical and convective instabilities in the MLT region. Moreover, I have collaborated in the implementation and interpretation of the winds in the MIRE model, for studying the tidal wind role in the formation of the Sporadic E layers.Recently, I am investigating the Sodium and Potassium metal layers using the China-Brazil Dual-beam Na-K LIDAR. This is the unique equipment in the Southern Hemisphere for simultaneous measurements of these two meteor layers. I have developed several data analysis codes in order to automatically identify Sporadic Neutral Layers in the vertical density profiles which will support my investigation on determining the mechanisms of Ns formation and their connection with ionized atmosphere.
