Birthplace: Brazil

I graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (2013) and earned my master's and doctoral degrees in Biological Sciences (Genetic Biology) from the University of São Paulo (2017 and 2023). I began my research career during my undergraduate studies, working on the evaluation of molecular markers for the identification of dipteran species in the Sarcophagidae family. During my master's degree, I investigated the impacts of heteroplasmy and numts on the use of mitochondrial DNA in population and phylogenetic approaches, with the Bombus morio bee species as a model. In my doctorate, I investigated the molecular basis of parasitic behavior in bee species using gene expression data (RNA-Seq). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
