Solange Filoso Williams

I have a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho, and a PhD from the University of California Santa Barbara (1996). After completing my doctoral degree, I went back to Brazil as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Sao Paulo (CENA-USP), where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Luiz Antonio Martinelli. I am presently a Research Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. My areas of expertise are Ecosystem Ecology and biogeochemistry, with a focus on freshwater ecosystems. My research is also focused on restoration of riverine ecosystems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
