Liliana Avila Maltgliati

Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Dentistry Program of Univeritas UNG and in the Professional Master's Program in Orthodontics at the same university since August 2018.She holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo's Bauru School of Dentistry (1991), a Master's degree in Orthodontics and Public Health Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (1997), and a Ph.D. in Orthodontics and Public Health Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (2000). She completed a mini-residency in Orofacial Pain at the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis/USA.She has worked as an Assistant Professor at the School of Dentistry at the Methodist University of São Paulo and as a visiting professor in the Academic Masters Program in Dentistry at the University of the Sacred Heart from 2009 to 2011.She served as the coordinator of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program, specializing in Orthodontics at UMESP/SP, APCD/SP, and the Straightwire Group in Rio de Janeiro.She has been a national and international speaker for companies such as 3M, Forestadent, Ormco, Eurodonto, Orthometric, and ID-Logical. She has published two books and delivered over 360 lectures at conferences both in Brazil and abroad. She has also been a guest professor in specialization courses in Maranhão, Amazonas, Pará, Ceará, Paraíba, Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and São Paulo.She has experience in the field of Dentistry, with an emphasis on Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics, focusing primarily on the following topics: preventive and corrective Orthodontics, Diagnosis, Self-ligating Brackets, Periodontal Patients, Orthodontic Mechanics with brackets and thermoplastic aligners, and protocols and cleaning agents for aligners (microbiological studies). She is a member of the editorial board of scientific journals and peer reviewer for many scientific journal as Progress In Orthodontics; Journal of Clinical Medicine (MDPI); Medicina (MDPI); International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health (MPDI); Journal of Dental Research, Dental Clinics and Dental Prospects; BMC Oral Health; Brazilian Dental Science; Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics. Member of the World Federation of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). She was the recipient of the first "Lee W.
