Fabiana Cristina Pereira dos Santos

Biochemical Pharmacist, graduated from USP in Ribeirão Preto (1999), has a master's degree in Pharmacy (Clinical Analysis) from the University of São Paulo (2003) and a PhD in Sciences from the Postgraduate Program in Sciences at the Center for Disease Control (CCD- SES-SE) (2014). She is currently Scientific Researcher V, at the Adolfo Lutz Institute, working mainly on the following topics: serological, cell culture isolation and molecular diagnosis of Spotted Fever Group Rickettsioses and other respiratory viral diseases of public health impact. Develops projects on new molecular methodologies (real-time PCR) for Brazilian Spotted Fever diagnosis and characterization of SFG rickettsiae isolated from Spotted fever cases.
