Carolina Heldt D'Almeida

Architect and urban planner (in 2007) at FAU USP, Master (in 2012) and PhD (in 2019) at IAU USP. Professor at the postgraduate and undergraduate courses at ESCOLA DA CIDADE and research professor at the Foundation School of Sociology and Politics - FESPSP. Consultant and researcher in urban and environmental planning and regulation for parliamentary advice at the São Paulo City Council (since 2021) and for the BANCO MUNDIAL (since 2020). She is a founding partner of the South American Institute for Cooperation and Public Policy Management - AMSUR (since 2018), Advisor to the São Paulo Council of Architecture and Urbanism - CAU/SP (since 2021), representative for the Institute of Architects of Brazil - IAB /SP in the Executive Committee of the PDUI (2017-2019) and in the Technical Chamber of Urban Legislation of São Paulo - CTLU (since 2021). She was a consultant for WRI (2020-2021), CITIES ALLIANCE (2017-2019), INSTITUTO PÓLIS (2017) and invited researcher at IPEA (2017-2019). Between 2013-2016, she was an advisor to the office of the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Development of São Paulo, participated in the governing body responsible for reviewing the regulatory framework of urban policy in the city of São Paulo (Master Plan, Zoning, and others), directed the Adviser Boby for Applied Research responsible for research with several institutions (USP, ECLAC, IPEA, UNESCO, etc.), she was coordinator of the Residency Program in Architecture and Urbanism: Urban Planning and Management carried out in cooperation between the City of São Paulo and USP, and assumed the coordination of the Metropolitan Plan of São Paulo - PDUI by the City of São Paulo (2015-2016). She was a professor at the postgraduate course at PUC - COGEAE (2017-2020) and at the undergraduate level at Universidade São Judas (2008-2020) and invited professor for extension courses at Harvard University (2014), Escola Paulista de Direito (2017), UNESP (2018), Escola da Cidade (2017-2021), FESP (2018 and 2021). He has theoretical and practical experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Planning, Management and Urban and Regional Regulation, and has bibliographic production of critical reflection in the field of contemporary space production, in particular with regard to public urban policies in Brazil.
