Silvely Nogueira de Almeida Salomão Néia

Graduated in Mathematics from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1989), Presidente Prudente Campus, SP; Master in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from the Institute of Mathematical and Computational Sciences (1993); and PhD in Applied Computing from the National Institute for Space Research (2005). She was a professor (assistant professor position) at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) from 1995 to 2023, on the Presidente Prudente campus, SP, when she retired as a statutory employee.During her active period, she served as Coordinator of the Local Commission of IEP3, former Center for Studies and Pedagogical Practices "Professora Adriana Josefa Ferreira Chaves" and was President of the Local Assessment Group (GRAL) of FCT.She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Continuing Education for Mathematics teachers, having been a teacher and coordinator of several Continuing Education courses at the Department of Education of the State of São Paulo. She worked in the area of #8203;#8203;Operational Research, addressing mainly the following topics: integer linear programming, assignment problems, routing, column generation technique, Lagrangian/surrogate relaxation and metaheuristics. She belonged to the Research Group called GMOS, or the Modeling and Optimization of Systems Group at UNESP.She was part of the Permanent Commission for University Extension and Culture (CPEUC) of the FCT in Presidente Prudente, SP, and served as a member of the Statistics course council and the council of the Statistics Department.She is currently teaching classes at the Cartography Department of the FCT for subjects related to the teaching of Geometric Drawing.
