Birthplace: Brazil

I am a biologist (São Paulo State University - Unesp) with a Masters in Animal Biology (São Paulo State University - Unesp) and a Ph.D. in Ecology (University of São Paulo - USP). My main research interests focus on community and metacommunity ecology, specifically in how dispersal processes affect the balance between stochasticity and deterministic processes shaping community structure in multiple spatial scales. I am also interested in understanding how environmental change can affect biodiversity following a metacommunity ecology perspective. I have a strong quantitative analytical background with experience in both univariate and multivariate data analysis, with experience in ecology and biology of amphibians and freshwater pond macroinvertebrates.
