Camilla Alves Santos

Holds a bachelor's degree in biological sciences in the Federal University of São Carlos (2008) and a master (2011) and a doctorate (2016) degrees from the same university by the Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology Program. Has experience in Molecular Genetics Applied to Aquatic Systems Improvement and Conservation, Evolutionary Genetics, Gene Polymorphisms, Transcriptome Data Analysis (NGS) and Gene Expression, PCR, Recombinant DNA Technology and Cloning. She also developed post-doctoral research (2017-2018) in the area of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics of Microorganisms, focusing on the function of Aspergillus cell wall genes and cell signaling pathways. She has experience in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology techniques such as PCR, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Transcriptomic Data Analysis, Recombinant DNA Technology and Cloning.Currently, her main interests are in the applicability and contribution of genomic and transcriptomic data in questions related to evolutionary genetics, genetic gains in production, adaptive stress.
