Francine Iegelski is Professor of Theory and Philosophy of History at Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She received her PhD from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), with a research period (2010-2011) abroad, at École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), where she also did postdoctoral training (2014-2015), both times with Professor François Hartog. From 2013 to 2016 she conducted research and teaching activities at USP?s Department of History?s graduate program. She is director of the research group ?Epistemology and Comparative History of Humanities? and editor of Tempo, the journal of UFF?s Department of History. She is the author of "Astronomia das constelações humanas: reflexões sobre Claude Lévi-Strauss e a História" ["Astronomy of human constellations: reflections on Claude Lévi-Strauss and History"], published by Humanitas, the press of USP?s Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences (FFLCH), with the support of the Social History Prize for best Thesis (USP/CAPES Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). She is the translator of Lorraine Daston?s "Historicidade e Objetividade" (Ed. Liber Ars, 2017, Coleção ?Epistemologia Histórica?) and Hélène Metzger?s "O Método em História das Ciências", to be published by Liber Ars in 2018. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
