Caroline is an Environmental Engineer, graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP), studied Sustainable Resource Management at the Technische Universität München (TUM) in Germany, and improved his business knowledge through the Business Training Company (BTC) course in São Paulo. She has been working since 2015 on incorporating environmental and social issues into the decision-making process in companies, mainly in the automotive, agribusiness, forestry and consulting sectors. She has solid experience in project management, working for more than 8 years in various sectors, from the manufacturing industry, business and climate agenda consultancy, agribusiness to financial institutions. She was Sustainability Coordinator at Grupo Innovatech, working on issues related to sustainable management and certifications, conservation of natural capital and biodiversity and social development in reforestation projects, mainly in Brazil. She worked as Technical Coordinator for Climate Mitigation at WayCarbon, leading projects mainly related to the Decarbonization Strategy, aligned with SBTi. She is currently Sustainability Coordinator for WayCarbon's SbN (Nature-based Solutions) team, where she is responsible for leading projects mainly related to: LULUCF accounting, for private and jurisdictional initiatives, in climate change mitigation strategies involving nature-based solutions and payment for ecosystem services; eligibility of carbon projects to generate carbon credits against certification standards (REDD+, ARR, Technology-based Solutions); TNFD (Task Force for Nature Related Financial Disclosure).
