Education and additional information Degree in Biological Sciences by the Institute of Biosciences of UNESP-São José do Rio Preto-SP), Master degree in Biochemistry by the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto USP (2001), PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology by the Faculty of Medicine of USP at Ribeirão Preto-SP (2006). Postdoctoral (2006-2008) in Protein Biochemistry by the Department of Chemistry of FFCLRP USP/Ribeirão Preto. In 2012, concluded his MBA (Masters Business Administration) in Faculty of Economics and Administration of USP at Ribeirão Preto, SP. Ruller has more than 15 years of experience using Basic Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry applied in the study of Proteins using Directed Evolution of proteins, pointual mutagenesis, cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins for development and application of industrial enzymes. Since 2014 he has been a master's and doctoral advisor in the postgraduate program in Microbiology at the Institute of Biosciences at (UNESP-São José do Rio Preto-SP) and Institute of Biology at UNICAMP at Bio-sciences and Technology of Bioactive Products. He is ad-hoc consulter of Fapesp projects since 2010. He worked as Researcher III in Biotechnology of Enzymes and Microorganisms at the Brazilian Bioethanol Science and Technology Laboratory (CTBE) in Campinas -SP (2009-2017). He is a visiting researcher at Unesp in São José do Rio Preto and consultant in biotechnological R & D solutions. Currently, he is a Visiting Researcher at the Biosciences Institute of UFMS - Campo Grande. Ruller has two main lines of research: 1. Bio-prospecting and the study of Enzymes and Microorganisms for applications in biotechnological routes 2. Development of Enzymes by Molecular Evolution to Applications in Industrial Bioprocesses. In addiction, he has more than 40 scientific papers published on these themes, presenting an H-index of 17. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
