With a solid academic background, I hold a degree in Biological Sciences from UNESP-São José do Rio PretoSP, a master's degree in Biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - USP. Throughout my doctoral studies, my focus was on developing enzymes through Directed Evolution, leading to the establishment of a biotechnological startup through a university spin-off, acknowledged with an award at the 2nd BioBusinessBrasil Supera USP 2007. In addition to my academic qualifications, I earned an MBA in Administration of Large Organizations from FEA/USP/FUNDACE in Ribeirão Preto, solidifying an entrepreneurial perspective. With over 15 years of experience, my expertise spans areas such as Cellular Biology, Basic Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and techniques applied in the Study and Biotechnological Development of enzymes and microorganisms. Currently, I work on three fronts: prospecting and evaluating the potential of enzymes and microorganisms; developing enzymes and microorganisms customized through genetic engineering for applications in Industrial, Environmental, Agronomic, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology; and advanced research in Molecular Biotechnology. Having an extensive scientific background, I have authored over 70 articles in reputable journals and hold seven patents in areas related to molecular biotechnology. I contribute to academia as a supervisor for master's and doctoral students at institutions like UNESP and UNICAMP. I played a prominent role as a Leading Researcher in Molecular Biotechnology at the National Laboratory for Science and Technology of Bioethanol at CNPEM in CampinasSP, and I worked as a visiting researcher at UFMS. Since 2010, I have served as an "ad hoc" advisor for regular projects funded by FAPESP, demonstrating recognition within the scientific community. My collaborative approach extends to working as a collaborating researcher at Unesp in São José do Rio Preto (IBILCE) and at UFMS, where I contribute to the research of new bioproducts and explore the biotechnological potential of filamentous fungi from the Mato Grosso do Sul biome. Internationally recognized, I have been included in the ranking of the top researchers in Latin America (Latin America Top 10,000 Scientists AD Scientific Index 2021/2022). Currently, I serve as a collaborating researcher at USP in Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP), actively engaging in Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) projects applied to Biotechnology and collaborating on PIPE projects with partner companies and USP. My journey stands out not only for technical knowledge but also for an entrepreneurial vision and the ability to translate scientific research into practical and innovative solutions. I am committed to continuing to contribute to the advancement of biotechnology, facing challenges with dedication and perseverance. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
